During the meetings, the discussions focused on necessary
preparations for the rainy season, including the equipment, mechanisms,
vehicles and work teams needed to deal with in case of rainwater
accumulation, in addition to timely responses to related reports and
public requests.
The committee also discussed the locations of rainwater accumulation 'hot spots' in the last season compared to previous years.
The
importance of redoubling efforts this year to provide all the necessary
means to ensure the removal of accumulated water as fast as possible
was also stressed upon during the meetings.
Furthermore, the
committee discussed the capabilities of each participating entity and
the development of a plan for cooperation to ensure swift and timely
response to reports that are received by the operating room.
The
committee will set up a mechanism for rain emergencies, prepare
strategic plans to cope with it, connect with the relevant authorities
in this regard, and ensure the readiness of municipalities and competent
departments and their readiness to deal with rain emergencies.
